Our garage roof had leaked.  We go to work using the subway and sometimes no one enters inside it for more than a week. The snow had melted and today when I have entered inside I saw a puddle in the middle. What is worse in this situation is that the leakage is just above some boxes with stored items inside. And the top box contains inside two wrought iron grilles which had apparently rust when water reached them. This rust is now in all the other boxes. I have few clothes that I had intention to use but now they smell nasty. Water is mean tricky thing. It had spoiled everything in those boxes…

No doubt every American had order at least once in his/hers life a Big Mac. Personally I am not a big fan of the fast food but I often eat in fast food restaurants since they are not many other options and my work does not allow me to eat in fancy restaurants every day. If you stand in front of the cashier and look at the advertisement of the burgers you will see them big and juicy with vegetables, just making you want to have a bite. When they serve you the real sandwich you see one small withered thingy that can barely resemble its photograph. I call this deceit and insolence. And this is legal. It should be sanctioned and huge fine must be applied for lying shamelessly to the people.

Wrought iron wall sculptures are great decoration tools. I have such in my garden and I need to tell you that since I had placed them there the look changed drastically. Now the place looks more sophisticated, more chic and stylish. The garden focuses on plants but if you combine plants with iron and wood as I did you get terrific view. I have wood gazebo and wooden figures around my garden. I was afraid wood and iron may deteriorate at the open but when properly processed there is no problem. Mine have survived one winter already and this is the second ano and I see no changes. They just look terrific.

People put nickels in piggy banks. Not all of them use piggy banks exactly, some may use jars, cans, boxes and so on but my point is that everyone knows what piggy bank is. I feel a bit of curiosity about why people choose pig as the symbol of saving. The only association for me about filling the piggy bank with money is related to the life of the pig itself. You feed the pig (i.e. place money inside the piggy bank) and in time when it grows up big enough (when it is filled with coins) you slaughter (smash it to get the coins inside) it to eat it.

I wanted to be traveling salesman and to sell thousands of trinkets. But mostly of all I wanted my specialty to be metal wall art for kitchen. Long lasting, durable and you can have it always with you when you are moving – these were going to be my words to advertise my merchandise. My grandmother had roosters and butterflies metal sculptures and I had enjoyed watching and maybe they were the reason why I had wanted to become tradesman. I thought if they make me happy to watch them I should bring this to other people too. But now I am a plumber. I still help the people but in a different way.

I remember having never ending bruises on my whole body when I was young. It was my bicycle that was the source of these injuries. Even though I had protectors they were often not enough. I can see my son to have the same spirit as I had before. I want to buy him a bike and in the same time I fear he might be injured. I know he will want to have a bike soon. So far I was able to parry his desire saying to him he is too small. But he wants to have it so I had bought him a metal bicycle wall art to have his bike. While he is too small this is the only bike allowed for him to have, but I can see that this is not enough for him.

For first time I read that scientists conduct a research that proves that the attractiveness of something can be less if you just thing about this thing. For instance you like the chocolate. But chocolate ads weight and you should not eat it. So you start to suppress your desire for eating chocolate. According to the new theory it would be more effective if you allow yourself to dream about the chocolate or any other subject of “sinful” desires. The explanation is that if a certain stimulus is used multiple times the pleasure is less in time. So start dreaming and you might get rid of your nasty habits.

Food is a necessity. You need it to survive. We are extremely dependant on eating enough and to do this every single day. Everyone eats, but eating is not just a process of satisfying basic human needs as it is the breathing. We can breathe only oxygen because this is how we are made, but we can choose what to eat. Food is culture, food is education it is personal choice that everyone can easily make. People often approach this vital aspect with ignorance. I think everyone should ask this simple question at least once in his/her life – what is really the food?

My foyer does not satisfy me. The only thing I like in it is the metal decor hangings I had bought a month ago. I don’t like the color, I don’t like the style. I had realized I need to change it. First thing is one big mirror. I have a mirror but it is too ordinary and is not big enough. Mirrors in the foyer are practical. You can always see if you look good before you step out the door. Also mirror creates an illusion for a larger space. Definitely I need a new and bigger mirror. But so far I am out ideas. I know only about the mirror but the whole conception about the area is still not formed in my mind. I need think a little more about it.
